ISMERID is conceived as a small, radiant object – a piece that feels rare, carefully worked, and jewel-like in character. Its name suggests something precious and finely made, where beauty and craftsmanship are inseparable. Within the MAMOA collection, it stands as a compact statement stool: practical in use, and always a decorative accent.
design concept and inspiration
Upholstery and metal, in one continuous line
The design is defined by the encounter between a soft upholstered seat and a fluid metal line. A polished brass structure wraps around the cushion in a continuous movement, tracing looping paths that appear to support and lift the seat simultaneously. The metal frames and raises the cushion, giving the piece a sense of motion around a stable core – as if its outline had been drawn in the air and then made in brass.
ISMERID moves easily between roles: an extra seat, a companion to a console, or a small sculptural object in a dressing area or lounge. On its own it works almost as a decorative piece; in pairs, it brings rhythm and a subtle shimmer to a room.
