RACHEL is inspired by Rachel de Queiroz, the first woman to join the Brazilian Academy of Letters, known for her clarity of thought and quiet determination. Within the Mamoa collection, the bench takes up those values in a disciplined form, made to age with character.
design concept and inspiration
Upholstered planes, cut by a vertical line of brass
RACHEL is defined by the interplay of a generous upholstered seat and a clear architectural frame. The side panels read as strong vertical planes, each cut by an inset line of polished brass – treated as a drawn line in the composition. The contrast between the soft upholstery and the controlled geometry gives the bench its character: comfort held within a firm outline.
Designed for bedrooms, entrance halls and hospitality interiors, RACHEL offers seating with presence. Its compact footprint and assured silhouette help define the space around it, at the foot of a bed or within a lounge arrangement. Like its namesake, it holds attention quietly – through intelligence and restraint.
