MIA suggests intimacy and personal connection – something claimed as one’s own, a place of comfort and pause. Within the Mamoa collection, it is a bench for private moments within shared spaces: a piece that invites rest while keeping a clear, architectural outline.
design concept and inspiration
A slender timber frame holding a generous cushion
MIA is defined by a slender ash frame in a walnut tone, which lifts a generous upholstered cushion lightly off the floor. A cylindrical bolster adds comfort and shifts the piece easily between sitting, reclining and informal lounging. The contrast between the disciplined timber and the tactile upholstery gives MIA its calm, structured character.
Made for bedrooms, suites and lounges, MIA sits between categories – neither sofa nor simple bench, but a platform for pause. At the foot of a bed, beside a window or within a seating composition, its open form keeps a room visually light while making a personal zone for reading, rest or quiet conversation.
