MONICA Dining Chair is named in honour of Saint Monica of Hippo, a figure remembered for her perseverance, wisdom and quiet, guiding presence. The collection translates that character into furniture made to anchor a room – dependable and welcoming, made for long conversations around the table, where support and ease matter as much as appearance.
design concept and inspiration
A low, enveloping back with integrated arms
MONICA Dining Chair has a low, enveloping backrest with integrated arms that cradle the sitter. The back rises in a continuous curve and folds forward into soft, tapered armrests, an embrace without bulk. From the side, the profile reads as a calm, steady line – more a protective shell than a sharp gesture. The seat is broad and padded, with good support for long meals or meetings.
Everything about the chair is tuned for everyday use: proportions that fit easily under tables, and a silhouette that works in a home dining room, a restaurant or a hotel. The legs are clad in the same fabric as the seat, for a continuous, monochrome line. Piping runs along the inside back and the outer contour.
