design concept and inspiration
CLAY is conceived through the language of volume
Broad surfaces and softened edges. The volume reads as a single modelled mass, lifted clear of the floor on a recessed base, so that its weight appears to rest on air. Every line is reduced to what is essential. A flat piping traces the edges, the one drawn line on a form otherwise built from soft mass.
CLAY introduces a feeling of permanence, acting as a natural centre for pause and daily ritual. Whether in a private residence or a hospitality setting, it holds its place with ease. It is a silhouette shaped by lasting human needs: shelter, comfort and belonging.
