SUR LE BOIS, developed with Conceitos de Arte, places timber at the centre of the room, as the surface on which everyday life unfolds. The sideboard takes that to a generous, horizontal scale: a long, grounded piece that holds storage, display and serving along a single wooden line – a quiet anchor for the room.
design concept and inspiration
Ribbed timber under a plane of stone, split by a band of air
A textured walnut body fronted with vertical slats, topped by a continuous plane of stone. A slim open shelf runs the full length of the piece, a band of air that lightens the volume and sets the ribbed timber against the solid stone above. The rhythm of the slats catches the light across the whole front.
Designed for dining rooms, living spaces and hospitality settings, the SUR LE BOIS Sideboard works as a horizon along the wall. It holds generous storage behind its ribbed doors, while the stone top serves for setting out and displaying.
