Arch Console

The Essence of ARCH

A fragment of an arch, pulled into the room

The ARCH Console, developed with Conceitos de Arte, draws on one of architecture’s most enduring forms: the arch, the curve that spans a gap. Here that idea is distilled into a minimal wooden gesture – a console that reads like a fragment of an arch pulled away from the wall and turned into furniture.

design concept and inspiration

A single bent band of wood, open beneath

A single continuous volume in walnut veneer with an extra-matte finish. From the front the piece is almost a rectangle; from above, the sides curve gently outwards, so that instead of four legs it reads as one bent band touching the floor at two points and rising to a slim top. There are no visible joints, hardware or ornament – the form rests on proportion, the soft radius at the sides and the quiet of the matte finish. The opening beneath reads as a threshold: a clear negative space framed by two curved supports, the way an arch defines a passage.

Designed for entrance halls, corridors and living rooms, the ARCH Console works as a light, grounded point along the wall. Its compact footprint suits framing an artwork or a mirror, with the open space beneath keeping it visually airy – a calm landing point for keys, books or a vase as you move between rooms.
