A momentary reset in the flow of the day
BREAK Armchair is made for pausing. The design “breaks” the traditional armchair profile, setting a sharp timber back against a soft, block-like seat. The contrast gives a clear, uncluttered form that invites the body to reset and the eye to linger.
design concept and inspiration
A sharp back against a soft seat
The sculpted wooden back, a single inclined veneer panel, gives the piece a strong vertical presence that catches the light. This rigid plane is balanced by a deep upholstered seat, made for relaxed, lounge-like postures. Slender legs extend upwards to frame the upholstery, tying volume and line together.
BREAK works as an accent piece – a reading corner, a boutique hotel suite. Its compact footprint lets it stand alone or act as a counterpoint to softer, more enveloping furniture. A place for a brief pause before re-entering the room’s rhythm.
