Doors that slide away
SLIDE takes its name from motion and transition: doors that slide open and closed, volumes that seem to shift forward in space. The TV Unit translates this into a low, elongated form – a front that opens and closes at a slide, a calm base for a screen and the objects around it.
design concept and inspiration
Sliding doors that draw back into the end niches
A horizontal body in warm Kambala veneer, resting on angled legs with a mid-century attitude. The doors slide sideways, drawing back into open niches at each end, so the front shifts between closed and open in a single movement. The continuous grain of the veneer ties everything together, so the piece reads as one volume rather than separate modules.
Designed for living rooms and hospitality lounges, the SLIDE TV Unit anchors a media wall without dominating the room. The open sections give access and ventilation for electronics, while the sliding doors keep cables and components out of sight when closed.
