SUR LE BOIS, developed with Conceitos de Arte, treats timber as the stage for daily rituals. In this cabinet the idea grows tall: a solid wooden base carrying a lighter, glass-fronted gallery above – a piece that grounds the room while opening a space to display.
design concept and inspiration
A slatted timber base below, a glass gallery above
A slatted solid-wood base, its vertical ribs catching the light, supports a large glazed volume framed in timber. The contrast is the point: the closed, textured lower section carries an open, transparent gallery above, its interior shelves in walnut veneer with marquetry, the base lined in leather. Behind the glass, the shelves hold books, ceramics or glassware against a dark backing.
Designed for dining rooms and lounges, the cabinet works as both storage and a domestic gallery – tableware concealed below, objects on show above. Its height and softened edges give it a quiet vertical presence, as a standalone piece or as part of a wider SUR LE BOIS composition.
